Baumgardner and Persoon declared a No Contest

Alycia Baumgardner (15-1, 7KO) vs Delfine Persoon (49-3, 19KO) ended with a No-Contest in their 130-pound undisputed super-featherweight clash at Lux Studios in Atlanta.

A clash of heads resulted in a deep cut on Persoon’s right eyebrow, forcing an early finish in the fourth round.

The incident occurred with about 45 seconds remaining in the fourth round, so it was ruled a No Contest.

It was more frustrating for the 30-year-old American because she floored the Belgian challenger in the first round and was leading on all three scorecards: Fred Fluty 30-26 / Edward Kanner 30-26 / Douglas Robinson 30-26.
