Alen Babic believes he will be 'too fast and too strong' for Shawndell Winters in Fight Camp clash

Alen Babic will be looking to end the fight early against Shawndell Winters and 'propel his name onto the big stage'

Alen Babic (3-0, 3 KOs)  believes that he will be able to impose hmself early on and gain an early stoppage against Shawndell Winters (13-3, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at Fight Camp.

With an undefeated professional record, Dillian Whyte's new protege Babic will be looking to extend his record against an experienced opponent in Winters, who recently lost to Joseph Parker by a fifth-round stoppage back in February.

Fighting out of Rijeka Croatia, Babic has a superb amateur pedigree, and has featured previously on the undercard of Dillian Whyte vs Oscar Rivas, but faced a relatively easy fight that night with an early first round knckut against Morgan Dessaux, and may have more trouble dispatching of a more experienced operator when taking to the ring in the behind-closed doors event at Fight Camp.

The Croatian heavyweight propsect will make a huge step up in level to face Winters, but believes that he has the quality and power to stop the fight early and put on a show for the crowd.

"I respect Shawndell as I always say, I don't wanna sound cocky but I think I am too good, too strong. I don't see Shawndell beating me, there is no way in any shape or form that I can see him not getting knocked out. A win does everything, it puts me on the big stage. Many people have heard of 'the savage at Fight Camp, but it will be even better afterwards."

Babic's preparation has been impacted by the problems that he has faced finding an opponent, with several fighters turning him down at short notice, but believes that a clash with the American heavyweight is the best fight for him to put on his best display as a professional to date.

"Three fighters turned me down, I was left with Shawndell Winters who I believe is the best fight for me. I am in the first year of my professional career and we always spar with amateurs, I never know who I am going to fight so for me it is a walk in the park"

'The Savage' also highlighted the impact of sparring with manager Dillian Whyte ahead of his fight with Alexander Povetkin, and has revealed that the sparring has been intense, but has been superb preparation to counteract the experience of Winters.

"It's pure joy, I love sparring with Dillian, I do my eight rounds with him, we know what each other can do. You wouldn't believe how hard he goes in sparring, go all out and go full strength, I get dissapointed with him if he doesn't. It's been great, being with all the top boxers, they are all the best at what they do, it's been great to use their energy."

With all of Babic's fights to date being ended in the early stages via knockout, the Croatian believes that he can repeat his performances on the big stage, and take winters out and move onto the next steps of his career.

"I believe Alen Babic third round knockout against Sharnell Winters, I want to finish him before Parker did but I am ready to go the distance if neccesary. It is critical for me to put on a good show, not just to knock him out. I want to show people what i can do, not a demonstration of Winters, just my demonstration.
