WBC Grand Prix finalist Ahmed Krnjić wins heavyweight title

"Bosnian Steel" collects new silverware

Ahmed "Bosnian Steel" Krnjić (9-1, 6 KOs) has added another WBC title to his résume, via fast track.

The boxer from Bosnia and Herzegovina stopped Ali Kiydin by fifth-round TKO to win the WBC International Silver Heavyweight Title at Balkan Boxing 12 on September 26 in Novi Pazar, Serbia.

29-year-old Krnjić entered the fight following an impressive run in the WBC Boxing Grand Prix, where he reached the heavyweight final against Argentina’s Kevin Ramírez.

He then returned to winning ways with a second-round knockout of Bojan Cestic before heading to Novi Pazar for his shot at the International Silver belt.

Against Kiydin, the Grand Prix finalist earned his second consecutive stoppage victory and claimed a new title in the heavyweight division.
