Ahmed Krnjić to face Ali Kiydin for WBC International Silver title

'Bosnian Steel' Ahmed Krnjić (8-1, 6 KOs) will face hard-hitting German Ali 'Iron' Kiydin (16-6, 15 KOs) for the WBC International Silver heavyweight title on September 26 in Novi Pazar, Serbia.

The Bosnian heavyweight will look to add another belt to his résumé following an impressive run in the WBC Boxing Grand Prix, where he advanced to the heavyweight final.

Krnjić delivered a series of strong performances throughout the inaugural tournament and came close to completing a perfect campaign. His run ultimately ended in the final with a competitive loss to Argentina’s Kevin Ramírez.

The WBC Boxing Grand Prix brought together promising fighters from around the world and fulfilled one of the dreams of WBC President Emeritus Don José Sulaimán: to create an international tournament that would provide young boxers with new opportunities to showcase their talent and rise up the rankings.

Krnjić quickly returned to winning ways following his sole career defeat in the Grand Prix. In his most recent appearance, he traveled to Germany and stopped Bojan Cestic in the second round.

The representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina will now look to draw on the experience he gained during the tournament and capture the WBC International Silver title.

Ali Kiydin, however, will aim to deny him in a heavyweight clash that promises plenty of power and excitement. The German puncher, known as 'Iron' has knocked out 15 of his 16 victims, none of them in the first round.

He has challenged for this title once before, against Mourad Aliev in 2023, which kickstarted a losing streak of five defeats in a row. His last win was over four years ago in 2022.
