Aarón has won the WBC Silver light-flyweight title

Undefeated Aarón de la Cruz Escobedo (15-0, 10 KOs) needed less than one round to win the WBC Silver light-flyweight title, as he knocked out Colombia’s Pedro Alarcón (13-2-1, 11 KOs) in the main event in Pachuca, Hidalgo, during the San Francisco Fair.

22-year-old De la Cruz landed the stunning right hand, sending  Alarcón to the canvas early. The fight ended at just 2 minutes and 13 seconds into the first round, and the local fighter was crowned the new Silver champion in front of the fairground crowds.

The victory imprints an important step in the unbeaten Mexican’s career and gives him his first professional title.
